<br><u><b>Preset Light Level</b></u><br><br>There are two options: <b>Unlocked Preset</b> and <b>Locked Preset</b><br><br><b>Unlocked Preset</b> is the default setting right out of the box where the Maestro Pro Dimmers always turn on to the last level they were at when turned off. This is convenient when you wish to turn the dimmer on to the last level without starting at the highest level and having to dim the lights down constantly.

The <b>Locked Preset</b> Light Level is a way to ensure that the Maestro Pro dimmer always turns on to the desired level every time it is turned on no matter which level the dimmer was last turned off at. This setting is great for consistency when turning the lights on in a room where a desired level is always wanted.

<br><br><u><b>Fade On Time & Fade Off Time</b></u><br><br>The <b>Fade On Time</b> is the amount of time in seconds the dimmer fades on to the light level desired when turned on. The default setting for this is 0.75 seconds. This can be adjusted to a much slower level for a more elegant or dramatic appeal. Fade On Times can be set from <b>0.75 seconds (default)</b> all the way up to <b>15 seconds</b>. Options are 0.75, 2.5, 3, 5 and 15 seconds. Great for rooms used to entertain by adding a dramatic appeal.

<br>The <b>Fade Off Time</b> feature is generally used to allow more time for the user to leave while the lights are still giving some level of illumination while they are working towards fully turning off. The default setting for <b>Fade to Off</b> is 2.5 seconds. Fade Off Times can be set from 0.75 seconds all the way up to 15 seconds. Options are 0.75, <b>2.5 (default)</b>, 3, 5, and 15 seconds. This feature can be used in living rooms such as the dinning room, living room or kitchen in order to provide a relaxing way to turn off the lights.

<br><u><b>Delayed Fade To Off</b></u><br><br>This feature is typically used for applications involving a large room where the light control is opposite of the exit and a delayed turn off is desired which allows time for the user to exit the space. An example would be in a large recreation room, stairway or hallway. This feature is initiated when you press and hold the large tap button on the dimmer for 2 seconds then release when turning the lights off. The default <b>Delayed Fade to Off</b> is 30 seconds. Delayed Fade To Off options are 10,20,<b>30 (default)</b>,40,50,60, and 70 seconds.

<br><u><b>Enable & Disable Indicator Lights</b></u><br><br>When Maestro Dimmers are turned off the lights that they are controlling go out however the green indicator lights on the dimmer remain on at a dim glowing state. This is often referred to as nightlight mode which is on by default and provides a helpful locator at night. However, this can be disabled if desired. Disabling this feature can also help with the compatibility of certain LED's with the dimmer in the event the LED's do not turn off completely with the dimmer on the off state.

<br><u><b>Low End Trim & High End Trim</b></u><br><br>With so many different LED's available on the market, these trim adjustment options can help you tune the Maestro dimmer to perform better with LED's to also improve their performance. The <b>Low End Trim</b> feature can help eliminate flickering and strobing when the dimmer is turned ON to its lowest setting. It can also be used as a personal preference for incandescent or halogen bulbs by setting the lowest level possible for dimming or setting a level that the dimmer cannot go lower. The default setting is set to indicator light number 2 on the dimmer. This is helpful when a lower level of dimming is desired.

<br>The <b>High End Trim</b> feature can help to set the highest achievable light levels desired on the dimmer. Meaning you can set the highest level for the dimmer to go to. This can be handy in rooms where you would not want the lights to be bright even at the highest level. The default setting for new dimmers is set to the highest level right out of the packaging.

<br><u><b>Phase Select Mode</b></u><br><br>The Phase Select Mode can be used to help ensure that the correct phase of the dimmer is selected for certain lighting load types. This generally is not needed as the dimmer senses if the neutral connection is established and selects the correct phase pending the wiring. However, there are some cases such as Magnetic Low Voltage (MLV) where the dimmer should have the neutral connected and you may need to change the phase to forward phase needed for the application.
