<h3><strong><span style='font-size: 20px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><a id='Before' target='_blank'></a>Before We Begin</span></strong></h3>
<p><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>RadioRA 2's software has a few differences from our RadioRA 3's Lutron Designer due to the time of when it was designed. Therefore, there are a few things that must be kept in mind when working with it:</span></p>
<p> </p>
<ol><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Communication to the Main Repeater via Wifi may be unstable.</span>
<ul><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>We highly recommend ensuring you are connected via Ethernet to the Main Repeater or the Network.</span></li></ul>
</li><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Firewall Settings<strong> will interfere</strong> with the communications if left on without rules in place.</span>
<ul><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>For more information on this, please see our <a href='https://assets.lutron.com/a/documents/residential_systems_networking_gu…; target='_blank'>RadioRA 2 and Homeworks QS Networking Guide</a></span></li><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Unlike RadioRA 3, you <strong>will need</strong> to use a Static IP if a network is not present.</span></li></ul>
</li><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>If you are using Windows 10 or 11, ensure your network is set to a <strong>Private </strong>Network, not <strong>Public</strong>.</span></li><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Anyone can download the RadioRA 2 software, however you will need a myLutron account to access it's features</span>
<ul><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>The Inclusive version will require you to do the Level 1 and Level 2 training via our<a href='https://lutron.learn.com/' target='_blank'> LCI training page</a>. Below are the Course Numbers:</span>
<ul><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>LP 620 is Level 1 training. Once completed, Level 2 will become available.</span></li><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>LP 808 is Level 2 training. Once completed, you can follow the steps in How to Upgrade to Inclusive to upgrade your software.</span></li></ul>
</li></ul>
</li></ol>
<p><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>The <strong>Inclusive</strong> version will have a few more features than the <strong>Essentials</strong> version.</span></p>
<ul><li><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>If a project has any Inclusive features, it will <strong>not</strong> be able to be extracted with Essentials.</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Essentials requires a project to be <strong>11.0 or higher</strong> for extraction. Inclusive can extract as far back as <strong>6.0</strong>.</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Inclusive projects may have <strong>Shared Scenes</strong> and <strong>Shared Toggle</strong> buttons.</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Inclusive projects allowed the following hardware to be used:</span>
<ul><li><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Wallbox Power Modules (<strong>WPM</strong>)</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>RF CCO Modules (<strong>LMJ-CCO1-24-B</strong>)</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><strong>GrafikT</strong> series devices</span></li></ul>

<p><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>If you do not have the project file, as long as the RadioRA 2 Main Repeater is functional, you will need to use the extraction feature to obtain a copy of the project from the Main Repeater.</span></p>
<ol><li style='font-size: 16px;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Open the RadioRA 2 software and Select Tools > <strong>Extract Project File</strong></span></li></ol>
<p><img src='https://lutron.my.salesforce-sites.com/publicknowledge/servlet/rtaImage…; alt='The Extract button in the Ra2 software'></img></p>
<ol start='2'><li style='font-size: 16px;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>A new window will pop up as it attempts to locate your Main Repeater, then extraction will begin <strong>automatically.</strong></span></li></ol>
<p><img src='https://lutron.my.salesforce-sites.com/publicknowledge/servlet/rtaImage…; alt='The Extraction window in the Ra2 software' height='158' width='338'></img></p>
<ol start='3'><li style='font-size: 16px;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Once it completes, a final pop up will appear asking to save the Project file. Select<strong> Yes</strong>, and save it to your computer.</span></li></ol>
<p><img src='https://lutron.my.salesforce-sites.com/publicknowledge/servlet/rtaImage…; alt='A successful extraction from Ra2' height='172' width='422'></img></p>
<p> </p>
<hr></hr>
<h3><span style='font-size: 20px;'><strong><a id='Troubleshoot' target='_blank'></a>Troubleshooting</strong></span></h3>
<p><span style='font-size: 16px;'>Having issues with the extraction process? Please see the common issues below for their solutions.</span></p>
<ul><li style='font-size: 16px;'><span style='font-size: 16px;'>When attempting to Extract, it states the '<strong>Processor is not responding</strong>'</span></li></ul>
<p><img src='https://lutron.my.salesforce-sites.com/publicknowledge/servlet/rtaImage…; width='411' height='193'></img></p>
<ul><li style='list-style-type: none;'>
<ul><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>This means the computer was <strong>not able to communicate</strong> to the Main Repeater but was able to '<strong>see</strong>' or '<strong>discover</strong>' it on the <strong>network</strong>.</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>This is typically caused by firewalls on the computer/network blocking multicast communication, or misconfigured network settings </span>
<ul><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>To resolve this, we recommend referring to our <a href='https://assets.lutron.com/a/documents/residential_systems_networking_gu…; target='_blank'>RadioRA 2 networking guideline</a> document for proper firewall/network settings.</span></li></ul>
</li></ul>
</li></ul>
<p> </p>
<ul><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>When Extracting, an error message appears displaying "<strong>An exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.</strong>"</span></li></ul>
<ul><li style='list-style-type: none;'>
<ul><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>This is caused by a <strong>version mismatch</strong> of the software to what the system is running (i.e. The Main Repeater is running 12.0.1 and you're using 12.10.1)</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>There are a few steps that can be done to fix this:</span>
<ul><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>Ensure you are connected to the internet</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>Double check your firewall settings and network configuration</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>Attempt a direct connection, off the network, to the Main Repeater (See Page 48 of our <a href='https://assets.lutron.com/a/documents/residential_systems_networking_gu…; target='_blank'>RadioRA 2 networking guideline</a>)</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>If none of these succeed, use our <a href='https://intl.lutron.com/en-US/pages/supportcenter/support.aspx?productN…; target='_blank'>Legacy Ra2 Software page</a>, sign in at the top, and download the version the Main Repeater is running.</span>
<ul><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>This can be located by going to the <strong>Main Repeater's IP address</strong> in a web browser and signing in using a Telnet login or the default "<strong>Lutron/Lutron</strong>" to sign in and select DeviceIP.</span></li><li><span style='font-size: 16px;'>The version it is running will be listed under the <strong>CODEVER</strong> table as pictured below:</span><span style='font-size: 16px;'><br><img src='https://lutron.my.salesforce-sites.com/publicknowledge/servlet/rtaImage…; alt='CODEVER as it's displayed in the Web GUI'></img></span></li></ul>
</li></ul>
</li></ul>
</li></ul>
<p> </p>
<ul><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>When I try to <strong>upgrade </strong>my software, the '<strong>here</strong>' link leads me to a page that says access denied.</span>
<ul><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>This will happen if you are not logged in with a myLutron account that has completed the <strong>Level 2 Training</strong></span>
<ul><li style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'><span style='font-size: 16px;font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;'>Refer to our <a href='#Before' target='_blank'>Before We Begin</a> section for more details.</span></li></ul>
